Fish Nets

Aquarium fish nets are used to catch or transfer fish and to remove plant remains or larger debris. The right net depends on the size and shape of the aquarium, the animals being handled and the available space between plants, decoration and technical equipment.

A fine, soft mesh is suitable for small or delicate animals, while a larger and deeper net can make handling bigger fish easier. The frame should fit through openings in aquarium covers, and the handle must be long enough to reach the required area without forcing the net against glass or decoration. A dark or unobtrusive mesh can be less conspicuous in the aquarium.
