Choose Hobby filter media according to the measured requirement

Hobby filter media in this category include high-performance adsorbers, zeolite, phosphate and nitrate media and activated zeolite-carbon combinations. Each product targets different substances or filtration goals and should be selected according to measured values and the aquarium situation.

ABSORBEX micro, natural zeolite, Phosphate Killer, Nitrate Killer and Zeo Carbon aktiv do not work in the same way. Check freshwater or marine suitability, required amount, placement, flow rate and intended contact time. Do not combine several strongly adsorbing media without considering their overall effect.

Measure the relevant water parameters before and during use. Replace or regenerate the medium only as described by the manufacturer and investigate the cause of persistently high nutrient or pollutant levels. Filter media support water treatment but do not replace appropriate stocking, feeding and maintenance.
