Identify whether you need an HQI replacement lamp, complete T5 fixture or accessory. Compare fitting, wattage, colour temperature, aquarium length and mounting height.

Choose marine HQI and T5 lighting by fixture and aquarium requirements

The marine-lighting range in this category consists primarily of Aqua Medic HQI lamps, Giesemann Matrix T5 fixtures and related accessories. It should therefore be selected as an HQI or T5 system and not described as modern LED lighting.

For replacement HQI lamps, compare fitting, lamp format, wattage and colour temperature with the existing fixture. For Giesemann Matrix units, match fixture length, tube count, wattage, mounting height and desired tube combination to the aquarium. Accessories such as splash protection, dimming options and suspension components are not complete lights.

Account for aquarium depth, intended livestock, heat, electrical load and lamp-replacement intervals. Install all fixtures securely and protect electrical components from moisture according to the manufacturer's instructions.
